JAX Family Care is currently searching for a PART TIME, motivated physician assistant or APRN for our outpatient facility. Strong candidates will be responsible for practicing medicine under the guidance and supervision of physician with the ability to take command of situations with physician's guidance. Examines patients, diagnoses diseases, determines treatments, and prescribes medication. This position's benefits include, but are not limited to: competitive wages, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance for full time provider. Productivity bonus for high performing individuals (24 patients per day monthly average, locking notes within 48hrs, as well as meeting quality measurement goals).
- Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats pain related issues including giving injections. Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a NPP's scope of work.
- Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.
- Experienced in primary care procedures such as Trigger points, Joint Injections, Sutures, Skin Tag Removals, Biopsies, etc.
- Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Responds to emergencies including use of CPR.
- Counsels patient/family on preventive health care.
- Documents patient information and care in medical record and may maintain department statistical database for research purposes.
- Comfortable with use of EHR as well as documentation and billing practices
- Comfortable and willing to learn quality measures, MIPS, HEDIS, etc.
- Non hospital on call evenings.
- Willing to see 24 patient daily average.
- Job Qualifications: Basic Requirements: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Florida RN license and certification (or eligible to be certified) as a FNP; or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and current Florida PA license (or eligible). Experience: Minimum 3 years experience, preferably in a clinic setting.

- Team player with support staff and also knows roll is to assist physician in the practice. Help with reviewing labs, diagnostic imaging, refills, documents.
- NPP will need to learn and feel comfortable in referring patients to inhouse ancillary services such as inhouse lab draws, ultrasounds, Autonomic Nervous System Tests, EAM's, as well as other services offered by the practice.
- Performance Requirements:
- Knowledge:
- Knowledge of medical model and roles of physicians and physician assistants. Familiar with anatomy, pharmacology, pathophysiology, clinical medicine, and physical diagnosis.
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques including taking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status including state of wellness, and compliance with care recommendations.
- Knowledge of diagnosing and treating medical problems and developing care plans.
- Knowledge of documentation in medical records in confidential manner.
- Assist with Quality Measures such as HEDIS, MIPS, etc.
- Skill:
- Skill in gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, and emotional patient data.
- Skill in accurately evaluating patient problems in person or via phone and providing appropriate advice, intervention, or referral.
- Skill in developing/revising patient care plan based on patient status.
- Ability to make responsible decisions within scope of NPP practice.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians on complicated cases.
- Ability to educate patients, families, and staff in user-friendly manner.
- Ability to demonstrate eye–hand coordination, full range of motion, and manual dexterity.
- Primary Care Procedures such as trigger point, joint injections, punch biopsy, laceration repair, and willingness to learn.

- Fast paced work environment. Willingness to work as a team and resolve conflicts if they arise. Adhere to patient schedule and willingness to adjust as needed based on patient need and care.
- Shared work space
- Follow on call schedule shared with other providers.
- Take care of patients from physician and other providers when covering each other.
- No such thing as "That's not my patient".
- Provide quality efficient care to patients.
