Junior Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Junior Staff Accountant for a growing client near downtown Columbus, OH. The Junior Staff Accountant will support the finance department by performing various accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an individual with some accounting experience who is looking to grow their career in the construction industry. This position is direct hire and will pay between $45K and $60K annually depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of construction accounting principles is a plus.
